Ink Stamp Technology
- Ink flows down the the supply tube and continually charges the roller pad with ink
- Printer stamp on the outer face of the printer stamp wheel (driven) rotates at a known speed and position
- The printer stamp is charged with ink as it rotates past and comes in contact with the roller pad
- A lugged chain (not shown) passes lumber under the printer at a known spacing and speed
- An air cylinder lowers the printer stamp wheel onto the passing lumber at the required time
- The printer stamp transfers the ink pattern to the lumber
- An air cylinder raises the printer stamp wheel
- The process repeats for each piece of lumber passing the printer
