The flitches are singulated by an unscrambler
At the top of the unscrambler, the flitches are even ended and loaded into lugs
Wane down boards are turned wane up by the board turner (optional)
The flitches are scanned on the scan belt with laser / camera profiling scanners
The scan data is then optimized to provide the highest value edging solution for each flitch
