MillTrak
No more photo eyes!
MillTrak is a vision based lumber flow management system that optimizes lumber flow during processing. It outperforms photo eye and proximity detection systems, dramatically reducing the expense of installing and maintaining dozens of sensors.
The MillTrak system camera is mounted above the lumber transfer to provide a clear view of the lumber to be monitored. In this location it is less susceptible to dust and moisture enabling the system to outperform conventional photo eye and proximity detection systems by reducing the need for frequent maintenance like lens and reflector cleaning.
The MillTrak system operates by creating a virtual array of presence detection points along the lumber conveyor. As lumber pieces travel through the detection area, the system recognizes the presence or absence of lumber as well as width, length, and skew of the lumber. USNR has MillTrak systems operating in many regions worldwide.
