USNR has been in the business of building lathe systems for over 150 years with our Coe line of lathes and associated equipment. As log diameters diminish, we respond with high-speed machinery designed to maximize recovery and throughput, while being easy to operate and maintain.

Designed for hardwood or softwood applications, our lathe systems will accommodate log diameters from 4-1/2" to 60", and will peel blocks down to 2" diameter cores. Our high-speed spindles with patented chuck design, temposonic position control and extended spindle sleeves ensure accurate centering of the block and maximum spindle stability. Sophisticated accel and deccel controls ensure precise chucking and minimal block end damage. Available in triple or dual spindle models, Coe lathe systems offer versatility and improved recovery.
