The forced air drying shed is a system of multiple fans that overpower the existing climatic conditions and utilize them to dry the stacks of wet lumber rather than allowing the weather to dominate the lumber drying.

When implemented successfully this system can cut the inventory needed to support the dry kiln in half over standard drying sheds and the space requirements needed for drying would be considerably decreased.
