Replacement of bearing slide out cartridge consists of the following: 

• Undo bolts holding the cap and remove
• Raise the shaft 1/4"
• Remove the bearing insert cartridge (bottom half)
  
• Replace with new bearing insert cartridge
• Lower the shaft
  
• Install the new cap
• Refasten bolts and keeper bars
