Earnings vs Lumber Recovery Factor (LRF)
The graph on the right illustrates possible change in earnings per MFBM (thousand board feet) from a base lumber recovery factor (LRF) of 250 fbm/m3. Constant log consumption is assumed with lumber production increasing and chip production decreasing with increased lumber recovery.
- For fbm/ft3 divide fbm/m3 by 35.3
- For M3/M3 multiply FBM/M3 by .0019 (rough green production)
