Top and bottom linescan cameras pass the captured images to the Image Acquisition Computer where preliminary object position and characteristics are determined.  This information is then passed to the Objects Identification Computer where each defect is identified.  Identified defects and geometric data from the geometric scanner are then passed to the Optimizer where the planermill grade optimization solution is generated.
