Lumber grading defects detected by the geometric scanning include:

• wane, skips
• twist, crook, bow and warp

The geometric scanning technology consists of:

• Dynavision Laser Heads/Cameras which scan the board in 1 inch slices (width and thickness detection)
• Comact Light Curtain which scans board every 0.125" (edge and length detection)
• Total board accuracy of +-0.010" on the width/thickness and +-0.125" on the length
