The SEQ-SER Converter Module inputs an encoder signal and converts it into a signal recognizable by the True Shape scanner (RS-422 serial link). This module is also used to convert a synchronization signal coming from a controller or a Programmable Logic Controllers (5 to 30 volts).

The module is appropriate for unipolar (A+ and A -) or in Bipolar(A+, A -, B+, B -) encoder signal. In the both cases, the signal is differential and is subjugated to the RS-422 standard in regard of the electrical operation levels. Since the RS-422 standard is a differential signal, it is possible to send the signal on long distance regardless of the electric noise. The synchronization signal input is opto-isolated.
