Portable Edgers
Portable circular saw edgers consist of two circular saws which edge or remove the wane and barky edges on slabs/flitches. The operator chooses to edge one or both sides of the slab and sets the position of the saws. The slab is fed into the machine where it is grabbed and fed through the saws cutting off one or more edges.
A useful piece of equipment to produce edged lumber from slabs produced by bandsaw mills and circular saw carriage mills. Feeding systems include rough top belts, rollers and rubber tires. Can be powered by electric or diesel/gas engines.
