Flanged Bearing Housings

Flanged bearing housings to hold rolling element (ball) bearings. Their design elements include:

• Cast iron, cast steel, machined steel or rolled steel housing.
  
• Housing has concave sphered inner surface to accept deep groove ball bearing with convex sphered outer surface.
• Bearings are replaced by rolling it out of the housing (rotate 90 after removing shaft) and pulling through slots.
  
• Permits moderate initial misalignment.
• Simple, versatile and economic housing/bearing combination.
• Flange design allow for easy mounting to reduce space requirements.
• Typical applications include: conveyor rolls, press rolls, conveyor deck shafts, etc.
