Fine Particle Cyclones

Cyclones which are used as a complete dust collecting system to capture large particles (chips, shavings, large/medium dust) and fine/small particles. Consisting of a material handling impeller, motor, cyclone, collection container and outlet filter. The cyclone filters out the large particles into the collection container with the outlet filter handling only the smallest fine dust particles.

Aimed primarily at small wood shops these units can be housed indoors/outdoors in a fixed location with plastic or metal ducting running to each machine center. Outlet air can be exhausted into the workshop with appropriate fine dust filtering or outside to the atmosphere. Usually sized to fit under a 8 foot ceiling or less with horsepower ratings of 2 to 5HP they can handle dust/chip collection from one or two machine centers at a time. As is the case with most dust collecting equipment, proper sizing and design is important. For maximum efficiency and safety, special attention should be paid to motor HP, impeller size, cyclone design, duct sizing, duct types, duct lengths, air speed, air volume, filter quality and sizing.
