Ambient Air Cleaners
Capturing dust at the source before it is airborne is often the most effective means of dust collecting. However for small dust particles that escape source capture, ambient air cleaners are effective means of maintaining air quality. Small dust particles (under 10 microns) can remain suspended in the ambient air for long periods of time and pose a risk to respiratory health. This ambient air passes through the ambient air cleaners where fine dust is filtered/removed. Ambient air cleaners can not handle heavy dust loading and should only be used for smaller background dust. Types of ambient air cleaners include: self contained (free hanging), HVAC integrated and independently ducted.
