Post and Pole Treatment Equipment
Wood treatment plants for both water and oil borne type preservatives. Basic steps are as follows: Seasoned posts are loaded into a cylinder, sealed and a vacuum is applied. The cylinder is then filled with the chemical preservative and pressure is applied forcing the preservative into the wood. After retention is achieved the cylinder is drained and the posts are removed to an area to drip dry. Some wood species that are difficult to infuse with preservative are mechanically scored or marked to aid penetration.
Equipment includes loading/unloading tracks, carts, pressure cylinder (autoclave), chemical storage, vacuum and pressure equipment, drip drying areas, etc. Automation of treatment plants is also available with PLC / PC based control systems.
