Cut off saws are used to cut stems or trees into logs or blocks.  The cut off saw is usually a circular saw with inserted teeth.  The cut off saw has a swing arm that is operated by a hydraulic cylinder, pneumatic (air) cylinder or electric activator.  For over oversized stems a bar or chain saw will be used cut the stem.
