Industrial buildings are typically prefabricated metal buildings.  The steel building columns and beams are engineered and prefabricated to an engineered model.  These building are typically clad with metal siding and mental roofs.  Prefabricated metal buildings are usually insulated and have cladding on the inside as well.  The prefabricated building is set on a concrete foundation.

Some larger industrial buildings such as a pulp and paper mill are built out of concrete.  The walls may be concrete block, poured in place concrete or prefabricated concrete panels
