Valon Kone OY of Finland will acquire the ring debarker business of Brunette Industries Ltd., located in New Westminster, BC, effective June 30th, 2009. Valon Kone will begin operations in North America as Valon Kone North America with facilities in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and Southeast. A Canadian office will be located in British Columbia.

Valon Kone is the largest manufacturer of rotor debarkers and the world market leader works with sawmills, plywood and board plants in nearly a hundred countries on all continents to help them become more profitable.
