FinScan Oy was founded on December 6th, 1988, and started its operation the following spring. It is a privately owned company operating from Espoo, Finland. The main products of Finscan are real-time image processing and optimizing systems for the sawmill and veneer industry.
The FinScan personnel, which is 13 persons strong, have experience of sawmill automation, image processing and optimization of valuable raw material, such as sawed boards and veneer sheets, as early as from the 70's.
In Scandinavia, FinScan Oy is the leading developer and supplier of automated wood material grading. Its know-how and experience are at the top international level. The products of FinScan are exported world-wide, i.e. everywhere where remarkable wood processing industry can be found. |
